Timeline Kayo history

The Kayo brand was launched in 2002. There was a void in the market for well-built, reasonably priced ATVs and Dirt Bikes. We decided to change that. Our in-house team designed, developed, and manufactured those early models which we sold on the European market. The demand increased, and we started branching out internationally.

- Kayo Motor is established by an engineer who had been working for HONDA’s China division for over 10 years. Kayo is the first company to sell Chinese designed and manufactured Pit Bikes to the European market.

- Kayo expands it’s operations and builds a new factory capable of building high-quality pit bikes and ATVs.

- Kayo collaborates with Marzzochi, a well known Italian suspension manufacture, as well as ProTaper, a leading handlebar manufacture from the USA. Kayo starts a Pit Bike racing team in China.

- Kayo pit bikes are appointed the official Pit Bike of the Chinese Motorcycle Federation.

- Kayo developed the HC110R (110 cc) pit bike for the Chinese Motorcycle Federation racing team. Kayo also developed an 85cc 2-stroke race bike which instantly becomes successful in Chinese Racing.

- Kayo’s HC110R claims its 3rd straight National title.

- Kayo claims the 250 cc Chinese National Motocross Championship with the water-cooled T6 model

- Kayo becomes the first, and only off-road Chinese motorcycle company to go public.
